MISSION STATEMENT

"The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Sultanate of Oman would play an active role in the field of cost and management accounting by creating value to stakeholders fulfilling needs of competitive industrial and business development, better corporate governance, promotion of best management practices, development of human resource, cost and management audit, entrepreneurship who understand the dynamics of business as a whole , development of professionals for financial leadership by integration of strategy, management and accounting."

OBJECTIVES OF THE INSTITUTE

The following are the main objectives of the institute:

(1) To provide cost and management accounting professions to the industry in accordance with their requirements.

(2) To regulate the cost and management accounting profession by having continuous revision of the syllabus, courses for the students and by rules and regulations (including ethical principles) for the members and students to abide by.

(3) To conduct continuous professional development programs for the members to keep them updated all the time, in order to keep them as strong leaders in finance and in strategy.

(4) To conduct short term courses like CAT, BAT and other accounting qualifications that meet the industry requirements and any course that the institute feel that members and students need to have.
