The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants (ICMA) is an institute of Management Accountants in the country established to promote the profession of Cost and Management Accountancy in Oman.
The Institute is governed by a Council of well experienced veterans of professionals in various fields.
The Institute as a part of its obligation to regulate the profession of Cost and Management Accountancy, enrolls students for Cost and Management Accountancy course, provides coaching facilities to the students, organizes professional development programmes for the members and undertakes research programmes in the field of Cost and Management Accountancy.
Over the years the Cost and Management Accountancy profession has registered a formidable growth and has come to occupy a prominent role in every country’s economy and society.
The Institute is in collaboration with the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI), a member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), The Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA) and The South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA).

The Institute in view of the heavy demand of Accountants at the Junior level in the Sultanate of Oman, has launched a Certificate in Accounting Technician (CAT) Course of one year duration for higher secondary passed students.
The Institute would administer and monitor complete Course comprising of Education in Accountancy, Computer Application & Practical Training and Orientation Training.
